Over the past month we have been working with Dementia Friendly Guernsey to produce two short films that help raise awareness of their new charity that they have launched, with the aim of making Guernsey the most Dementia Friendly island in the world. One of the films was more of a story telling exercise whilst the other was more suited to social media and included subtitles for discreet viewing.

Filming took place over two days in three separate locations.

When interviewing Eddie, who lives with dementia who is cared for by Penny, we chose a location that not only meant something to them but was a great iconic background for the video. Les Amarreurs was the scene of the first shoot followed by Rousse, just across the water on the other side of the bay, where we heard from members of Dementia Friendly Guernsey who outlined their plans to change the way people live with dementia here in Guernsey.

A combination of focus pulls, slow pans, a calming soundtrack and heartfelt statements from all subjects involved made, what we think was, a very moving piece. Now that the media launch has taken place we are pleased to include both the videos we produced for their launch below for your viewing pleasure.
