Over the last year we have been working closely with the Guernsey Disability Alliance on a campaign to raise awareness of #HiddenDisabilities and the problems it presents to islanders living here in the Bailiwick. We provided all of the video content used in the campaign which launched during the month of October and has provided the alliance with a valuable information resource to use for the indefinite future.

They challenged us to incorporate subtitles into many of the videos therefore making them more accessible to the community whether they watched on a desktop or discovered them on social media whilst browsing on their phone or stumbling upon the video in a doctor’s waiting room.

Whilst the filming and production of the videos of the 8 hidden disabilities took time, the delivery and scheduling of them across social media took longer. We featured around 10 different videos for each disability on YouTube, embedding them onto their website, optimising shorter social media cuts for both Facebook & Twitter were all services we were more than happy to provide. Targeting sponsored posts on Facebook were also delivered in an attempt to drive the We all matter eh? Brand to people living in the Bailiwick who hadn’t previously heard about it. We only managed 8 in the short time available, before the campaign to drive their disability and inclusion strategy, was due to be brought to the States in early November. But there are plans to continue the project in the not too distant future. If they asked us to help out again, would we be interested? It would be a yes in a heartbeat.
