There is nothing like being given less than a week to produce a 5 minute film, that is due to premier at an event at St. James in front of 250 people on, what is arguably, one of the most recognised nights for the charitable sector in the yearly calendar. We do like a challenge! The Guernsey Community Foundation challenged us with collating the thoughts of three volunteers who have been matched with a local organisation through their Volunteer Matching Programme.

Given that all of the volunteers fit in their jobs around other commitments we did struggle to find convenient times to film all of the subjects. But we did just manage to fit in all of the filming with less than seven days till the event itself. One thing which always strikes us when filming these mini documentaries is the palpable enthusiasm and commitment shown by islanders who are committed to helping the charitable sector thrive here in the Bailiwick. After all, it was volunteering at the outset, whilst working for a local charity promoting sport, which has put us in touch with so many industry leaders which has kept a wide range of video projects coming our way over the last few years.
