In the lead up to the Guernsey 2023 Natwest International Island Games we were busy with planning our hardware deployment and gear maps for the events we were involved in, and we just about found time to squeeze in one last video production project.

The Health Improvement Commission reached out earlier this summer to request a promotional film be produced to tie in with the launch of their physical activity grant programme which was to launch whilst the Island Games were underway. They had a clear vision of what they wanted the video to look like and that informed their brief which was also very detailed as to the activities they wanted included in the film. It required a wide variety of video footage from physical activities taking place here in the Bailiwick. Given our wide contact base and positive reputation here in Guernsey the filming of a number of community sporting events was obtained relatively easily. Five local athletes were selected to recite the script which had been drafted by the client, which all of them did flawlessly straight to camera in their respective sporting environments.

An appropriate licensed music soundtrack in addition to inclusion of aerial videography from a local drone pilot ensured that the video was instantly recognisable and memorable when it is viewed online. We really enjoyed working on this project with the Health Improvement Commission and to top it off, Sam who we worked alongside to deliver this project for at the Commission left us this wonderful review, “Olly did a fantastic job at producing our video. His openness to discuss ideas, combined with his experience, skills and professionalism made the whole process much easier and resulted in a final video being produced which we feel represents our ethos”.
