This was my first piece of video production work that was carried out for the Guernsey Football Association in early February whilst trading under my new company name. It showcased match highlights from the game our juniors played against Northern Ireland Under 18 Schoolboys side. Despite the captain putting away a screamer of a goal in the first half, the Northern Irish lads put in a solid performance to win 4-1.

The set up mimicked that of my regular Guernsey FC match day coverage and the exact same equipment was used to capture the juniors playing at Footes Lane on a cold February evening. It was slightly different in that we had two commentators who were able to analyse the game in more depth and use each other’s experience to enhance the quality of commentary in the coverage. A single wide angle camera was also utilised to capture the game, and the GFA were also in receipt of the whole game footage to enable the players and coaches to analyse how they could have improved.

This particular video on my showreel serves as a good example to demonstrate to other clubs what can be achieved in terms of video highlights for their supporters of the match on the pitch, and the match analysis provided directly to the coaches & players can only help them to improve their performance by analysing their game from a viewing angle previously unobtainable.
