We were privileged to be invited back to work with the team at the Guernsey Employment Trust earlier this year to profile the support services that they provide here in the Island. The brief was to showcase the services that they provide by filming interviews with a number of their service users who have benefitted from the charity’s expertise.

A day long shoot enabled us to visit a number of service users in their places of work which were incredibly varied. Places of work included Moonpig, Guernsey Electricity, BWCI and the Medical Specialist Group. It was humbling to hear each of the subjects’ stories, how each of them came to benefit from GET’s services and how each of them is now settled into suitable employment. We filmed them where they were most comfortable in their place of work and look utilised their Employment Support Officers to conduct each interview which, from experience, we knew would bring out the best in each of the interviewees.

We are proud of the short piece that we produced, which, earlier today, premiered on their social media channels to tie in with International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD). Of course, to ensure the video is as widely accessible as possible, it was fully subtitled for online viewing and for offline presentations.

The team at GET are super friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them should you need a little extra help finding employment. Further details can be found on their website.
