We were honoured to be invited back to cover the 4th King of the Ring event held at KGV Memorial Playing Fields earlier this month. The 17 fights took place in the blazing sun before a few thousand strong crowd. We joined many photographers ringside eager to capture that shot that would do the rounds on social media post event. However, shooting solely video on the evening meant we were after a few more highlights that would help contribute towards a great video that was few minutes in length.

We deployed multiple cameras and microphones at the event enabling us to capture every punch thrown inside of the ring. A wireless lavalier microphone was attached to the jacket of regular commentator and long standing Guernsey Boxing supporter, Liam McKenna, to ensure the best audio clarity of his introductions and announcement of the winners.

The entrance made by each boxer to the ring past their friends and family made for quite a scene which we tried to cover the majority of on the night. Mix in a few shots of the crowd pumped up between rounds and the scenes of jubilation after they had celebrated singing along to ‘Sweet Caroline’ and the highlights video was complete. For the fighters, who took the time to train in the lead up the big day, the King of the Ring event was the climax after months of hard work. We are pleased to offer each of the fighters who competed on the night a copy of their fight.  If you wish to do so please reach out to us using our Contact Us page.
