It was a privilege to be asked to film the Jersey Customer service Awards earlier this week. It was the second year in a row I had been asked to film the event and forth customer service Awards event I had been involved in over both the channels islands over the last two years.

Every event I have filmed the event I have been overwhelmed not only by the number of nominations put forward by the public but by the turnout from finalists and their supporters for the event as well. The number of people tables filled on the day was a testament to the hard work Jersey businesses go to to give great customer service to ensure not only visitors to the island receiver but serving the locals as well. It’s obvious that customer service means an awefull lot to businesses from all sectors and it was evident that it was underpinnings by putting the customer first.

This year I tried out a new wireless lavaliere microphone which worked seamlessly for the small event and extra flare from spotlights and walk on music for the lucky finalists was provided by a local AV company. Whilst only 8 people on the day walked away with a trophy, everyone nominated can be proud that they have contributed to the positive customer experience, encouraging more people to shop local as they can benefit from a personalised welcoming shopping experience. The video summary of the event will be available to view in due course.
