Tomorrow is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (#IDPwD). It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disability worldwide. The Guernsey Disability Alliance (GDA) is using the day to highlight the facts and figures around disability in Guernsey and the barriers people face. We have been working with them over the past few days to finalise two short information videos in the form of a presentation to help illustrate their work over the last year.

Both videos, but the second film to a greater degree, highlight the many many activities that the GDA have organised in Guernsey during 2016 to ensure the Voice of disabled Islanders are heard. They continue to campaign for change here in the Bailiwick and I urge you to check out some of their work which is showcased on their website.
