I was honoured to have been invited back for the 4th year running to help capture the Guernsey Community Awards 2016 on film for the Guernsey Community Foundation. The first event I filmed was back in 2013 and since then I have seen the event morph into something which has firmly embedded itself into the yearly calendar of charities based here in the Bailiwick.

The award ceremony was slightly different this year, well for me anyway, in that I recorded the event using a slightly more portable handicam with wireless audio receiver. This was connected to the sound desk at the event to ensure we captured all of the presentations and acceptance speeches made on stage. We were privileged to also have seen a short video on their Volunteer Matching Programme also premier at the event, which was projected onto, what has to be one of the largest screens here in Guernsey.

We always struggle to fit the whole evening into the few minutes that they set us every year, and this year was no different. We managed to fit all the presentations in and had time to hear from a few of the winners and still managed to get the video in under 10 minutes. You can watch our video summary below and read more about the awards here.
