What a journey we have been on over the last few weeks – today marks the end of a very busy month preparing all the individual finalist videos for the Guernsey Construction Awards taking place at Beau Sejour leisure centre as this post is being authored. From cranes to planes we have filmed everything you can imagine, on our first day of filming we recall filming an automatic opening Japanese toilet in the morning, filming on the balcony of a £3.5m apartment in the newly developed Havelet Waters development before filming a well known plane inside of a newly built entertainment venue soon to open to the public.

This was our second year producing finalist videos for Collaborate Communications, the company behind the recently launched Guernsey Construction Awards. We offered each finalist, yes all 22 of them, the chance to have an hour of our time on site for them to speak on camera as well as filming some more intimate shots of their business. We were all warmly welcomed to all the business premises which were dotted over the island, some in polished showrooms and display apartments and others still a building site, filming on a variety of temporary and permanent platforms.

The collage below showcases just some of the scenes from the finalist videos we shot. Those at Beau Sejour tonight will get to see them all first hand and we wish all those selected as finalists the best of luck, and from visiting them all in person we know how vast, vibrant and variously active the industry is at present, long may it continue!
