Earlier this month we were invited along to cover a whole weekend of Dance performances from the upcoming stars from The Dance Academy. We were treated to six hours worth of contemporary, tap, modern, jazz and ballet performances under the watchful eye of parents and supportive family members. The ‘Concerts 2019’ were performed at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts under the supervision of their tutors, teachers and staff at the Academy.

We were required to record every performance from multiple angles then edit the footage to supply to the parents thereafter. As we have just fulfilled the orders given to us to date we thought it worth reflecting on what was one memorable weekend. We were able to put our brand new wireless video transmission system into good use as only a single camera operator was on site at any one time and needed to monitor multiple angles at once, so using the transmitter we were able to remotely monitor the second camera angle from our other fixed filming position.

The parents had the chance to purchase videos of their children performing via either a digitally supplied link to download the footage or via a memory stick/DVD. We throughly enjoyed ourselves that weekend and hearing the heart whelming speeches made by the students at the end of the final performance demonstrated how much the school means to them, and judging by their performances it proves that nobody should stop believing in their dreams, as if you keep believing them, with lots of hard work and determination, they will come true!
