Construction Industry Thriving Post COVID

We are excited to finally see the video, produced for the Guernsey Property & Construction Awards 2021, go live last night, after the event was postponed from November 2021 due to the global pandemic. A bumper set of finalists needed interviewing and we were set the task of visiting all 23 of them so that their profiles and hard work could be featured at the event held at St. Pierre Park. We relished the opportunity to visit all of the finalists, some of whom we would have been visiting again as this was their second nomination, and for one particular finalist it was the third time they had been featured as they were nominated for the third year running.

We set aside three and a half days to film all of the finalists from a variety of industries who were represented in the following categories:

• Supplier of the Year
• Rising Star of the Year
• Engineering Project of the Year
• Construction Professional of the Year
• Best large project (under £300k) of the Year
• Best small project (under £300k) of the year
• Property Agent of the Year

We provided a full suite of video production and design services for the event organisers, who used our content on the night to illustrate the great work that, in most cases, goes unnoticed. The event itself gave everyone the chance to give themselves a well deserved pat on the back for continuing to operate in an industry that has had its fair share of challenges over the past two years. A pre-show get together with the event organisers, as well as a representative from their gold sponsor, was staged with the event host which was a new addition to the video production services we have offered in previous years. With the previous event postponed, it was great that the industry finally got the recognition it deserved and enjoyed a well-earned celebration and it is certainly fair to say that the construction industry here in Guernsey is thriving post COVID.
