Back in July we began filming what was going to be one of our biggest projects to date. The College of Further Education turned to us earlier in the year to produce a recruitment video for them to help plug a few gaps they have across their organisation. Now that the project has completed, and has been successfully delivered to the client, who was very pleased with the final product I’d like to add, we can reflect on what turned out to be the single video project with the largest number of assets and project media held on file to date.
Filming with various subjects began in the summer and we were greeted with glorious sunshine on all of the days we spent on location. All interviews were shot in 4K and that contributed to the rather large project file at the end of it (1.03TB), however the project was delivered in 1080p high definition, so the extra resolution offered us the greatest creative opportunities when editing in post. We supplemented the interviews with subject teachers and Dr Louise Misselke, the Principal of the College, with shots of all campuses across the island. These were complimented with various shots of students in a range of learning environments & social spaces. Many of the teachers spoke of Guernsey’s beautiful natural scenery and coastline which we were able to exemplify with shots of St. Peter Port basking in the sunshine filmed earlier in the year.
The inclusion of new Guernsey Institute branding and the supply of a closed caption subtitling file to accompany their video file upload continues to be part of the service we continue to deliver to clients here in Guernsey. We have a full suite of hardware to service any video production need – interested? Get in touch – contact us.
