Guernsey held its first Accessible Shopping and Christmas Lights evening in St. Peter Port on Monday 3rd December 2018, and we were invited along to provide video and photographic coverage of the event which was held from 5.30-7.30pm. We have recently invested in a new Sony 35mm Full Frame camera which can shoot both Raw images and 4k video to suit the more demanding jobs where we don’t have time to switch to our larger FS5. This event offered just that, a fast moving timetable, dynamic scenes to capture and lots of eager shoppers aiming to be a part of this special event.

We surprised ourselves with the ease of switching between snapping photos of scenes then effortlessly switching to video to do what we do best. After the event we were able to supply the client, in this case the team of volunteers at We All Matter Eh?, the campaigning arm of the Guernsey Disability Alliance, with 80+ images summarising their event. This was also complimented by a short 3 minute roundup video of the event picking out some of the unique aspects of the Christmas offering that evening. The video that we created for them has created waves already, obtaining 30+ shares with it obtaining its first 1000 views on Facebook in only a few days. Take a look at what we created below.
