Coaches, players and referees from the Guernsey Walking Football Club based here in the Channel Islands, benefitted from a visit from father and son duo, Stuart & Ross, from the Walking Football Association last weekend. We were invited along to provide photographic and video coverage of the sessions they had organised. The club clearly benefitted from their skills and experience as they progressed through a number of classroom based theory workshops as well as enduring many outdoor practical scenarios. The in depth course gave the members a flavour of the Walking Football scene outside Guernsey, guaranteed to leave them wanting more.

Due to our existing commitments we were only able to spend 90 minutes or so with them before having to hot foot it to another location for another job. We took along the newest addition to our kit-bag, the Sony A7iii alongside a range of lenses to enable us to best capture the activities taking place. The club has already had tremendous feedback already from colleagues in the UK and some further afield, keen to keep a watchful eye on the potential dark horse of the future, the team from little old Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

We are quite proud to have learnt that this year will be the clubs 5th anniversary and we have been assisting them since their conception. We would also like to say thanks to Stuart & Ross Langworthy for taking the time to visit the Guernsey Walking Football Club and inspiring some of our players to want to achieve greater things. Who knows what’s in store for the Club over the next 5 years? #WalkingFootballInGuernsey
