Back in November, Twitter mixed things up! You know that nice star shape that went orange when you favourited something, well that has all changed! To a heart!.

It was a feature that was rolled out on both Twitter & Vine, that they call likes. Whilst you might like a lot of things, not everything can be your favourite!

In a post that highlighted the change on their blog last month, they recognised that the heart is a universal symbol that resonates across language, cultures and time zones, and in that sense it is well suited to the micro-blogging social networking platform connecting people all over the world.

I agree that the heart is expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions which can easily connect people and in their tests, their subjects love it! But personally, I’m not a fan!
